Guitar Hero will Leave PlayStation 3?




Activision, Guitar Hero series publisher, is considering to leave the game console PlayStation 3. If true, could be bop telak for Sony stronghold.

Bobby Kotick, Activision CEO, said the plan to stop producing games for the Sony PlayStation 3. This is due to high development costs and low sales.

DetikINET as quoted from Reuters, Sunday (21/6/2009), Kotick said that the PS3 price is still too expensive, and game publishers such as the company likely will publish titles for the console.

"I began to worry with Sony, PlayStation 3 began to lose momentum and they did not make it easy for us to support the platform. Butuh cost of developing games for the PS3, while Wii and the Xbox has better sales," Kotick said in an interview with the Times of London .

Activision is a publisher for the game, many popular games. In the series include Guitar Hero, Call of Duty and Doom. Activision has also been with Vivendi merger to become Activision Blizzard game, such as covering Warcraft and Starcraft.

If this really happens, will be the brunt telak for Sony stronghold that are struggling against the citadel of Microsoft and Nintendo. The Sony not to comment directly related to speech Kotick, only that Sony continues to close collaboration with colleagues.
